Why did you choose to become a veterinarian? I grew up with veterinary medicine. My dad, Dr Douglas Schmidt, would take me to vet school with him. After he graduated, he would take me to work on Sundays and I was always captivated watching him as he made the dogs and cats better. Dr. Kathleen Spencer-Schmidt joined the PVH team in January 2011. A native of West Palm Beach, Florida, Dr. Spencer has spent most of her life in warm, breezy climates. Living in the Sunshine State, she earned an undergraduate degree in biology from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton.
