BEYOND
THE RAINBOW
AS MUCH
AS I LOVED THE LIFE WE HAD AND
ALL HE TIMES WE PLAYED,
I
WAS SO VERY TIRED AND KNEW MY TIME
ON EARTH WOULD FADE
I SAW A
WONDEROUS IMAGE THEN OF A PLACE THAT’S TROUBLE FREE
WHERE
ALL OF US CAN MEET AGAIN TO SPEND ETERNITY.
I SAW
THE MOST BEAUTIFULL RAINBOW, AND
ON THE OTHER SIDE
WERE MEADOWS RICH AND BEAUTIFUL-
LUSH AND GREEN
AND WIDE
AND
RUNNING THROUGH THE MEADOWS AS FAR AS THE EYE COULD
SEE
WERE
ANIMALS OF EVERY SORT AS HEALTHY AS
COULD BE
MY OWN
TIRED, FAILING BODY WAS FRESH AND
HEALED AND NEW
AND I
WANTED TO GO RUN WITH THEM, BUT I
HAD SOMETHING LEFT TO
DO
I NEEDED
TO REACH OUT TO YOU TO TELL YOU
I’M ALRIGHT
THAT
THIS PLACE IS TRULY WONDERFUL, THEN
A BRIGHT GLOW PIERCED THE NIGHT
“TWAS
THE GLOW OF MANY CANDLES, SHINING
BRIGHT AND STRONG
AND BOLD
AND I
KNEW THEN THAT IT HELD YOUR LOVE
IN IT’S BRILLIANT SHADESOF GOLD.”
FOR
ALTHOUGH WE MAY NOT BE TOGETHER IN
THE WAY WE USED TO BE
WE ARE
STILL CONNECTED BY A CORD NO ONE CAN
SEE
SO
WHENEVER YOU NEED TO FIND ME, WE’RE NEVER FAR APART
IF YOU
LOOK BEYOND THE RAINBOW AND
LISTENWITH YOUR HEART

'Quinn"
"Queenie'
This is for our Quinn. But I have to say a little bit about our
Queenie.
She was a 3 months old Malamute
that came from
the Thomasville SPCA, and a handful. I
talked to 4 different trainers
and they said she could not be trained, well they were wrong.
She became the
best and calmest dog you could ever want. After she passed we got
Quinn. My wife
didn't want a dog that looked like Queenie but fell in love at first
sight. I did not want a big dog but
I ended up with a 92# dog. He turned out to be the best dog we ever
had. I called him my gentle giant. I
used to be a truck driver and like Queenie he went along with me all
over the country. In Texas
they said he looked like a wolf, I told them it was an alaskan malamute
collie mix but I
couldn't change thier minds. I am talking too much about the
best dog ever but I have to say one
more thing about Quinn. When we were at the SPCA, I was
there to look at a dog after Queenie
passed but didn't find one. When we were about to
leave this man came in with this dog he
couldn't hold on to. The dog was running into me
and I got a little scared with no where to go.
Then it came over and sat with
me and looked at me with the bioggest brown eyes and said 'take
me home with you'. Fell in love
instantly. It turned out he was an abused dog that was not given
food or water. We took him to Dr Schmidt
and he said he had some problems and was little a little
on the side thin side. He grew to be 125#. And
that's why I call him my gentle giant.
