Why did you choose to become a doctor? I was born and raised in Red
Lion.
Throughout my life, I have had an interest in the science field and
have always had a love for animals. After graduating from Red Lion Area
Senior High School in 1950, I attended Franklin & Marshall College.
I got my degree in veterinary medicine from the University of
Pennsylvania. Upon completion of veterinary school, I joined the Air
Force and was stationed in France from 1957 - 1960. I have been in
practice in Red Lion since 1960.
Hobbies - Woodworking, golf.

2000
Number of pets - 1 dog, a mixed terrier name "Stanley"
Why did you choose to become a doctor? I cannot remember ever wanting
to do
anything else. I have always been interested in animals and nature and
also had a strong interest in medicine, so it seemed natural to combine
these two loves into a career.
Dr. Megan Brown, DVM - Associate
Veterinarian
Started at PVH - July
2005
Number of pets - 5, Daphne and Fred both Great Danes, Scrappy and
Mittens are domestic short hairs and Rise a Bengal
Why did you choose to become a doctor? After never having pets growing
up, my
first kitten dies of distemper. the loss I felt following those few
short days with her was immense. At that point I began to look into a
career in veterinary medicine to help others avoid the hurt of losing a
pet with high quality medical care and a peaceful good-bye when the
time comes.
Dr. Nancy Winning - Associate veterinarian
Started at PVH -
April 2007
Number of pets - 6 horses and 14 cats
Why did you choose to become a doctor? From the early age of 6, I was
always
fascinated with animals. Not just for their rewarding interaction and
positive unconditional love: I found out I wanted to know more about
'what makes them tick'. The combination of science and emotional
interaction between pets and their owners was also challenging and I
feel that's what makes my job so unique.
