Linda

Client relations specialist Linda Stem joined the PVH team in July 2007. Born in Baltimore, Linda brought with her an impressive background of employment. She has worked as a school bus driver, an emergency dispatcher for 911, manager of a veterinary practice in Bel Air, and perhaps most important of all—a firefighter. Serving as a firefighter is a family tradition which includes Linda’s father, husband, and several other close relatives.

Now working at her second veterinary clinic, Linda feels that her desire to help animals began naturally. She remembers rescuing a number of injured or unwanted animals in her neighborhood while growing up, especially during the cold winter months. Linda recalls, “My mom used to say she hoped an elephant never walked down the street because I would try to take it in!”

Outside of PVH, Linda maintains a busy family life that includes 2 adult children (her daughter Kristina is a nurse at PVH) and 4 grandchildren. She loves to go on camping trips and travel to “warm, sunny, sandy places”, naming Florida, Mexico and Ocean City, NJ as some of her favorite destinations.

Linda enjoys her time spent at PVH because “I like the contact with animals and people—this is my ‘away from home’ activity.” But as far as her home life is concerned, Linda is quick to share her secret to happiness—“I’ve been married to a wonderful husband for 34 years!”
